This Hermit Thrush made just a long enough appearance to allow us a quick photo before hopping back into the undergrowth of the forest. A nice treat to see a bird we usually only get to hear. It has such a wonderful song. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Hermit_Thrush/sounds

I hadn’t heard a hermit for a long time, then camped up on the Olympic Peninsula and the forest was full of them. So nice!

Hi, when we were up that way were heard tons of these little guys as well but sighting one was a different story in those thick forests. Your mentioning the Olympic Peninsula has got me itching for a trip up that way. 🙂
