We saw this guy while out walking on cold foggy morning. He looks charming enough but a gut feeling told me to not get so close that he could wrap his frosty arms around you. I kept him at camera length and admired his beauty and thanked him for allowing us to take a photo.
Grand Teton National Park, WY.

A great photo. Nostalgia! It brings back memories of a late evening walk on my college campus in the 60’s, taking shots after a heavy Virginia snowfall. Thanks for posting!

Thanks, we rarely get this levels of frosty white on the trees. Usually just big snowstorm which are wonderful but not as delicate. Hop your well and having a great 2017.

Looks intimidating, like the Groke from Moomin could be lurking nearby.

Great capture, reminds us of the trees in Lord of the Rings. Just came back from New Zealand and saw a few trees without snow on them that looked very similiar.

Hi and Thanks, this tree does seem to have a bit of life beyond tree ice to him. Hope you had a great time in NZ. We hope to get there sometime soon. Have a wonderful Holiday and welcome home.
