It’s hard to hold back the excitement when you get a glimpse of the first Mountain Bluebirds of the season. This day the binoculars worked much better than the camera as the wind was howling thus making it difficult to take a non-blurry shot as either the shrubs or the camera lens was moving with the wind. However, we did manage to get a few photos between the gusts. I hope your day is as bright as this male bluebirds blue.
Wow! So cool. I had no idea they are so intensely blue!
Hi Sarah, it is something isn’t it. The colors that birds can wear and look good doing it.
Beautiful! Spring is here 🙂
Hi, yes it is although we have had a bit of cooler weather this week.
Beautiful ambassador to spring!
Hi Eliza, I agree and every spring I just scratch my head with wonder that a bird can be so blue. Even though I have seen them every spring the color is still astounding.
I feel that way about indigo buntings – so beautiful!
We have yet to come across an Indigo Bunting but maybe someday.
The first time I saw one, it was in an apple tree in full bloom – pure magic!
Talk about color overload.
🙂
Gorgeous! Thank you for capturing this and sharing with us.
thanks and hope you have a great day.
