Red on Red

Hiking up the west elk trail we came across this fine looking Red Bellied Marmot hanging out in rocks that matched her fur. A perfect little hangout on a nice summer afternoon. Crested Butte, CO.

  Hi, glad you got to see a bunch of these guys up in RMNP. They are fun to watch. A few weeks ago we were treated to a whole family collecting food and goofing around in a meadow up high above a lake in the Never Summer Range.
