What a little beauty! It reminds me of a little acrobatic red-ish Hawaiian parrot that would arrive in the trees in the morning – irritate all the neighbors with it’s noisiness, make a great mess of the pods all over the ground from which it was extracting seeds, then fly off half inebriated looking for new neighbors to bother! Finches on the other hand are quieter, and more personable but have that same beak to crack open the sunflower hulls to get that delicious morsel inside! I love to listen to birds first thing in the morning singing their songs only they understand. Lovely shot there Mike!
Great shot! 🙂

Yes, finches are nice to have around. They have a great song and are mild mannered as well. Also the color adds something special to the day.

Yes sunflowers are nice to have in the garden both for us too look at and the birds to eat.
