Earlier this summer we were lucky enough to have a few little Bushtits visiting the trees nearby. I miss those little guys and sure hope we are lucky enough to have them visit again next summer.

I understand why you like them. We never see them here in IA. Our Chickadees are similar in size, a bit bigger. We really enjoy them busily going about their daily business.

Hi Jim, yes they are fun to have around and make a constant chatter among their group which although not a distinct as the dee-dee-dee of our chickadees is lovely to hear.

HI, yes this heard seemed to contain about 4-6 and all males. Maybe they were not lucky enough to get paired up with a mate and were out on a bit of a boys night out.

Hi and thanks for the feedback. We do appreciate it. These are indeed very little birds but they are easy to identify compared to other little brown birds in our area like the numerous sparrow. Hope your day is going well and you are having a wonderful weekend.
