Yellow Rumped

Yellow Rumped

A female yellow rumped warbler enjoying the beginnings of this years deciduous forest. Once these trees completely leaf out getting photos of birds in the forest is another story altogether but for now I will enjoy the view while it lasts.

    1. Thanks, yes indeed getting shots of the small birds away from feeders and the yard is a challenge for which I usually have limited patience but when it happens it sure is fun.

          1. I learned recently that many warblers wait for the weather to clear, then take off at NIGHT. I imagine there are less raptors to worry about then and it is cooler. Nature is endlessly fascinating!
