Thanks Celia, that is a very wonderful perspective on these photos. Perhaps boiling the flowers down to shape and light and dark presents them in a way where essentials like hope become more easily seen. And yes, wildflowers do represent hope. They spring forth each year from what sometimes seems an infinite winter.
Love this series of photos. You don’t often see flora in monochrome. Gives a new perspective with more of an emphasis on shape.

HI and yes, it was fun to see these in BW and have that emphasis on shape and tone.

I’ve also seen water bead up that way on lupine leaves.

Hi Steve, it is cool how the waters is funneled down the grove in the center lupine leaf and makes a very big drop in the center point of the plant.

Fine study of close ups, each perfect in their own way. Love the salsify star and the little ant on the gentian.

Hi Eliza, we also love the little ant on the Gentain. A small flower becomes a big old world for that little ant.

Your black and white flowers are lovely. Converting flowers to black and white often doesn’t work.
