A favorite winter companion who always brings a smile to the morning is a Mountain Cottontail we have affectionately named Bunn. While Bunn is invariably more than one we have settled on calling them all Bunn. Hey, it just is fun to say. With a cup a coffee in hand we scout the windows each morning to say hello to our crepuscular friend.

HI Kit, she likes hanging around near the house in winter so we were able to get her somewhat comfortable of us taking a few photos with out racing off. Hope your week is off to a great start.

We hope she makes it through the winter as we have seen unidentified tracks lurking about which might be bobcat.

I knew someone who had parrots – about 50 – in a huge aviary. They were all named Pepe. Bunn makes sense to me. And that is a beauty of a photo.

She has been eating well, rose branches, dried hollyhock leaves…etc.
