Pine Siskins, always buzzing about in the tree tops letting you know when they are there. Sometimes you you see them and sometimes you don’t. Either way it’s wonderful experience and a great way to start the day. This dynamic duo perched upon a tree top just long enough for a quick photograph. Given the sounds a big group can make in a quiet forest it never ceases to amaze me just how little these guys are.
I love pine siskins, but we don’t see them where I live too much. I’ve never seen them this close up, for your photo is fantastic, Mike. They are so small, as you say, and don’t stay put long. Wonderful to receive the gift of this duo this morning, thank you.

HI Jet, it is indeed a nice gift to have these little birds buzzing about int he trees. They were present all winter and we very much enjoyed hearing them and getting a nice look every now and again.

Our little house wrens are like that, too. They skulk about in the underbrush instead of tree tops. They are very loud for their size.

Hi Jim, it is amazing how much talking some little birds can do and the level in which they do it. However, it never feels like noise but pleasant conversation.
