
Four American Avocets seemed to have choreographed this move just for the camera. They were just milling about when all of a sudden a couple took to the air for a brief hop, skip and jump. It was one of those photos you just didn’t know you took until you see it.. Fun stuff.

Reflections are always interesting. Sometimes they add and sometimes detract from a photo. It’s always a difficult call.

I think it’s a tough call. Delicate upturned beaks or long blue legs. Both are wondrous.

I am! I photographed a turtle laying eggs in our yard. Of course my photography is dependent on an iPhone camera, but still, it was exciting.
