A Canada Jay sits patiently in the morning light. Perhaps awaiting a handout or just waiting for us to leave so they could get on with the business of finding and storing food to get them through an other cold winter.

How dignified it look. It makes me think of Christmas, though it’s too early for that.

….help this Canada Jay know-nothing understand whether this version of Jay is like its cousins, the Blue and the Stellar, which are loud, dramatic, bossy, and intrusive. IOW, is a Canada Jay a typical Jay? This lovely photo makes them seem calm and self-possessed (smile).

I, too, found this image of the Canada Jay so mellow and calm. Fantastic photo, Mike.
