With a Storm brewing over the Teton Range we pulled our kayaks to the bank of the Snake River and were treated to an wonderful view. We snapped a few shots and then high-tailed it down stream to avoid the approaching rain. Grand Teton National Park, WY.

A pair of great horned owlets. One shy and one not so shy staying close to home in a beautiful old cottonwood tree.
You never know what you will find hidden in the willows is what this guy was probably thinking when he noticed we were peeking in from the edge of his terrain. It always amazes me just how easy a creature the size of the moose can disappear from your sight with a simple step or two into the willows. Photographed near Cottonwood pass in Colorado.

I used the Zeroimage pinhole camera to photograph the wonderful summer flowers which seemed quite content to be hanging out near this little waterfall while hiking near Daisy Pass in Central Colorado.
All’s well that ends well. Several weeks latter we spotted these newly hatched killdeers, and several others, along the side of the road hiding in the short grass and exploring the world and each other.
