A rarity for us and quite a treat was to spend time on a lake with a few common loons. Waking up to hear their calls on a misty morning is something I will always remember.
I think I know why it has greened up so well this year. Looking east while driving through the Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge a summer shower is on the way.
Inhaling a deep breath of green through the eyes sure feels good. A short path on a small islet still big enough to hold a forest of great importance. West Coast of Vancouver Island, BC.
