After a Day of Work

After a busy day at work we all need some nature therapy. On this day the early evening thunderstorms were rolling in, but heck, things are green, a beam of light is shining through the clouds and if you walk to just the right spot in this busy Denver area park you get a perspective that allows you to breathe.
Sea Foam

While hiking along the pacific coast on a very windy day we encountered big globs of sea foam, some as big as a softball, being blown up from the sea and over a 50 ft cliff we were looking over. The foamy blobs came whizzing over our heads and then came crashing into the ground. We had a great time watching and trying to capture this experience. Thinking back, these simple experiences that are random and transient directly define the essence of life.
Calm Seas

Taken off the Oregon Coast.
Past Your Bedtime

It was indeed past my bedtime but technically you can’t get in trouble for that when the sun never really sets. The summer sunset skimming the horizon and hiding behind the mountains of East Greenland, 2013.
Scattered Showers

Scattered Showers over the Rocky Mountains were a perfect way to cap off what was mostly a sunny day spent in the Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge. Forecast for tomorrow…scattered late day showers. Better set the alarm for another early start.
Lady Bird

While I am not sure if this Female Yellow Headed Blackbird had found a mate or was looking for one, if I were a male Blackbird, I might bring her a bouquet of flowers just in case.
Simple Sunset

A simple sunset points to the wonder of it all. We are floating on a beautiful ball in a endless sky. How amazing is that. One spring night outside Fruita, CO.
