Wild Iris

In fields wet with moisture the wild iris are blooming like crazy this year. It is amazing how some years there are so few but when it rains more than usual they explode. They bloom for a few days then dry up and quickly disappear. Nature playing hide and seek.

  1. Yes! And another plant I love, spiderwort, is going berserk here. I was just in a wet meadow last week that was all blue with them. breathtaking. I love how you have the massed irises blurred behind the one in front all crisp.

    1. Thanks Melissa, I am not familiar with spiderwort but will have to as professor google for some photo in a minute so I can see this plant. Hope your day is off to a great start.

  2. lovely subtle image- and love the bokeh- such a pretty colour! (Was actually just a bridesmaid in this exact colour and we all LOVED it) Beautiful flowers, beautifully captured.

feedback welcome
