While I am not sure if this Female Yellow Headed Blackbird had found a mate or was looking for one, if I were a male Blackbird, I might bring her a bouquet of flowers just in case.

Great shot of a beautiful bird. I am amazed anew, every time I see a bird perched on something flimsy like a blade of grass, at how little they weigh for such a seemingly substantial body.

Katrina, thanks for the feedback. We have thought the same thing many times as well and when the wind blows they can even stay perched on such seemingly unsubstantial perches.
