Dawn Patrol
A young wolf cub blends into their environment and settles down to welcome the first warming rays of the summer sun.
On last summers kayaking trip we were able to spend a few days in the company of a small wolf pack with several cubs. The young ones would gather each morning on this beach just as the sun came up. This one knew just where to lay to catch those first warming rays.

Looking across the San Luis Valley from Penitente Canyon on a chilly November afternoon. A beautiful place to take a walk and quiet the mind even when the sky is grey. Silence is indeed golden or better yet silent.

Guess Who.
While walking in our local forest we noticed the crows making a ruckus and several were gathered in a tree cawing away. We followed the noise and guess who we found? A fairly young looking Great Horned Owl. He was being kept on a short leash by the crows but it did not see to bother him. More often than not following the crows in these woods leads us to a Great Horned Owl.Poor guys never get a minute of peace.
One Rainy Morning
