Summer Sun
The power of the summer sun, melting the snow to fill the creeks, powering the trees to grow their leaves and the list goes on.

Landscape
Or Landscape within a Landscape within a Landscape. How do you photograph the landscape within the landscape? Nature is a repeating fractal pattern ever present but for me a difficult subject to photograph. Not macro or micro photography but capturing what is small yet large and large yet small. This is one attempt.
Just before spring

Succulent
Finding succulents succulent and in full bloom. Spring color in abundance, butterfly and flower, green leaves and blue sky along the Mendocino coast.
Land in Sky
Sometimes it takes an uncluttered landscape to see that land and sky are one.

Eyjafjallajökull
Hiking up high towards the summit of Eyjafjallajökull. Volcanic rock, sky,snow melting into water on its way to the sea and space enough to feel at ease.
Foggy and Frosty
Rising in the east and obscured behind thick fog, the winter sun lights an old cottonwood tree covered in delicate hoar frost. Once the fog lifted it only took a couple of hours of sunlight to melt the frost away. Temporal, fractal art at is finest. Grand Teton National Park, WY.
Winter Willows 2015
At least once per winter we find ourselves skiing through a willow field on a grey cloudy day and every time I am beckoned by some force to stop and take a photo looking through the willows out into that grey winter sky. Something about this place just says winter in a way that hits home to me. No moose this time either.
