Prickly Poppies
Prickly Poppies are a wonderful wildflower to have around. On our daily walks we can rest assured we will find some in bloom. Once found, we can stop for a moment and enjoy the show as beetles, bees and ants do their work pollinating these delicate flowers. Even now, as fall approaches and most of the other wildflowers have lost their blooms, a few Prickly Poppies are still going strong.
They a treat for they eyes, like little whipped cream sundaes with a cherries on top.
Those little prickles protect such delicate yet tough flowers.
I am looking forward to see how long they continue blooming into the fall.

Summer Sunset on the Pond
Yesterday I could feel it happening. The sunset is getting earlier, the algae is in full bloom and the nights have cooled down just a few degrees. Summer is still hanging on and we may even get a few sweltering days but I can feel fall just around the corner. Zeroimage pinhole camera and Kodak Film.
Ocean view

A nice quiet view to start the week. Looking into the pacific ocean on a quiet morning.
The Calm Before

Calm water and a funky sky hours before a major storm blew through. Rain and wind all night had us holding onto the tent poles to prevent a collapse. A little vinegar in the stew makes it just a bit more flavorful. Angmagssalik fjord, Greenland.
Well Rooted

Life just seems easier when we are firmly rooted. Zero image pinhole camera and Kodak Tmax film.
