I have noticed that each fall I end up taking a few shots of milk weed and always say to myself that next fall I need to make a dedicated effort to photograph this wonderful plant. The same happened again this year.

Boo- a short anthology
A pinhole photograph tribute to our favorite friendly ghost who has taken form as a tree. We have aptly named her Boo. Through the years she has lost her arms but remains standing nonetheless. Happy Halloween….Boo.

Siesta
A female Mallard settled down for a late afternoon siesta. As the days get shorter and shorter a nice little midweek siesta seems in order.
Gateway
A colorful gateway just seemed to be asking me to follow a lesser traveled path into the forest. Did I listen..yes I did, and had some fun along the way. Along Clear Creek, Denver, CO.

Ripe and bright-red these berries look ready for picking. Birds where are you?
Magpie
Getting eye to eye with a local magpie who was hanging out on picnic table waiting for lunch to arrive. Unfortunately picnic season is over. However I am fairly confident the ever resourceful magpie will find a bite to eat somewhere.

Just when you think you are sneaking up nicely to get a good close up this hawk takes notice with a 180 degree turn on the head. I wonder what it would be like to have eyes in the back of your heads. Maxwell wildlife refuge, Maxwell NM.
Letting Loose
Almost like a drip from a leaky faucet this plant was sowing seeds slow and one at a time on a windless afternoon. One let loose and another follows. A wonderful display of flow in slow motion.
