Usually Prairie Dogs are busy scurrying about from hole to hole feeding and digging. This guy seemed to just be carefree and chillin’ on his front porch on a late summer afternoon and enjoying the warm sun and expansive prairie view. I have been trying to find the Greenlandic Inuit words used for the animals I saw on last summers kayak trip to East Greenland. The word Tiqiganiannig is what I get from Professor Google for the Arctic Fox. If anyone can confirm this I would appreciate it. This Arctic Fox was enjoying the sunlight with a blue sea behind on a wonderful summer day in East Greenland.

We spent an hour or so watching this guy collecting leaves for the winter larder. A sure sign change is coming.
