Fall brings a bit more moisture and moisture brings spores to life. Twin mushrooms growing rapidly in the fall air. Anyone read the book Mycelium Running, very interesting.

I am a huge fan of wild mushrooms and there are many colorful ones in the forest this year.
I’m chuckling to myself because when I saw the headline “twins” I thought it would be a cute picture of twin baby elk or bears or something! Good one. I used to forage for Pine mushrooms and Chanterelles. Gosh they were so good, not the land is full of houses….sigh
Oh goodness, never even thought of that angle on the title. I would love to forage for mushroom to eat but think that in this case I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous so to speak. The disapearing habitat for mushrooms as well as all other non-human things seems to be a problem of epidemic proportions these day.
Lovely composition – fall is in the air, I see! I haven’t read the book, but have heard of it – revolutionary! The thought of mushrooms saving the planet is amazing.
