    1. HI and I always like how they announce their arrival to the nearby trees with their song. I can usually hear them in the distance and as they approach their song gets louder and louder until they arrive. Fun stuff.

    Nice capture. I like the composition and the birds perch. It adds interest without taking away from the subject. Its hard to get any detail in the dark areas such as beak and eye without blowing the highlights in the white feathers and sky but you did a really good job with it.

    1. Thanks David, I agree that getting detail in birds with the black areas around their eyes is difficult and we have many examples of no details in the eyes. This day I thick the lighting was just right to allow a good exposure without blowing out the light areas.

    1. Thanks Kathy, We got lucky that day with just the right light to make the eye clear. Usually with the black feathers around their eyes you don’t get such a clear look. Hope your day is going well.
