A fine looking bluebird couple hanging out on a post along the road to Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. This couple was taking a break from chasing away the tree swallows from their nesting box along the road. It seemed like at every nest box along the road similar battles were taking place.
nature has no boss

Thanks Denise, we just got a bit lucky that both the male and female landed on the post at the same time. They were taking a break from the battle with the swallows. It must be great to have bluebirds nesting close we have to drive the country road to see them around here and they are quite shy. Wow this image is stunning I love it. We do not have those here in Texas those are quite stunning.. We have the Eastern Blue Birds I do not see to often and we have Blue Jays I see everyday.

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I could see the blue jays everyday but most often they are heard and not seen in my neighborhood. Once in awhile I get a glimpse and marvel at those tail feathers. Have a great day.
