
When we spotted this Juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron in a tree at sunset he took off flew a quick circle and landed agin on the smallest thinest branch of the tree. Wobbling back and forth flapping his wings to keep steady….kids will be kids.

Only two comments on a splendid photo. I love it, a Bittern like bird. Just to see one would be a thrill, but getting a photo like this, wow.

These guys are in the Heron family. This on is immature and will develop a nice black crown when mature.
