We saw this large male moose working his way across a small clearing knee deep in the willows last weekend. Picking and choosing small mouthfuls to eat yet walking with purpose from left to right. After a few minutes of good viewing this big guy headed back into the forest and out of sight. Medicine Bow National Forest, WY.

A wonderful sight!

Oh, how I love the moose! I haven’t seen one since the last time I went to Montana. Tennessee has no moose.

Hi Diana, they are wonderful animals and it is always fun to get a peek at one and given you have no moose around you a trip is in oder.

Handsome and healthy bull with a fine wattle. Great capture, Mike. Rut is not a time I’d want to see one of these guys however. I’ve heard that they can be kind of cranky and unpredictable. 😉

I can’t help thinking how silly moose look with their massive uppers and skinny little legs. But this guy, he’s tough looking.

Although those skinny legs keep them moving about in the willow and bogs I suspect. This guy was quite a handsome dude for sure.
