Hi Eliza this is a pretty cool looking insect and the first we have seen in our yard. Seems we have a few new ones this summer or we have just taken the time to look closer. Probably the latter.
Hi and thanks for the feedback as we really appreciate it. I feel the same way and in general that is the feeling I get with most macro photography of beetles, flies etc. I wonder what it is that has engrained the creepy factor in my brain about insects at times.
He’s cute, and similar to our big green bush crickets!

They look like tattoo on a New Zealand maori. If only one can be so colour co-ordinated with such ease.

It would be nice to be alb e to be dressed for the occasion like this little guy is an without thawing to fuss about doing it.
