This Yellow Headed Blackbird saw us out taking photos one afternoon and asked for a portrait to hang above the family nest. I was glad to oblige his request.
Hi Jim, I have seen several recent exhibits at museums where they actually put some feathers and bright colors on dinosaurs. Of course with a disclaimer that this is only speculation or an artists rendition of the best hypothesis. Thus, it is safe to say the “colorful dinosaur hypothesis” to coin a phrase may prove true…but we may never know.
Blackbird the III
He is a fine looking gentleman.
Yes indeed
🙂

A fine portrait!
It’s the subject that made this one.
Handsome fellow!
He was indeed and we hope to see him on the pond again next year.
Wonderful photo, Mike-his majesty was amazingly accommodating, Mike.
Hi Tanja, yes he was very accommodating to the royal court photographers that afternoon.
