A day spent winding your way through open spaces is indeed a day well spent. From morning encounters with resting Elk to views of the mountains beyond.
The mid-day sun shines bright but a gentle breeze blows to cool things down.
As mid-day passes to afternoon the clouds begin to build and signal it’s time to go down.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and perhaps some time in your favorite space.
Amazing back yard
Not quite that close but close enough.
beauty on the horizon 🙂
The last two photos with the dark clouds are stunning!
Those clouds do add a bit of mood to the sky. FOrtunetly we escaped any storms and ended the day on a sunny note.
Same to you, Mike.
Thanks Jim.
Wow- those mountain photos are especially beautiful. We get to go to Colorado in 2 weeks. Been a long time since I’ve seen the big mountains.
Hope you have a great time in Colorado it’s a beautiful place.
Beautiful photographs, Mike!
We’re heading east of the mountains and into Alberta next week – can’t wait to see the big skies and long views…
Enjoy your weekend!
HI Adam, hope you enjoyed or are enjoying your time in Alberta. Long views and big skies never disappoint. Cheers.
Beautiful place and photos 🙂
Hi and thanks.
Wow, what a backdrop!
Does it rain nearly every afternoon in the summer?
Well, usually there is a high chance of an afternoon shower in June and July with it drying our a bit in August and September.
Lovely scenery, and for sure with the beautiful elk.
Thanks and it was nice to see these elk along the trail that day.
Amazing scenes. Lovely blue skies and dark clouds setting. A beautiful contrast.
Hi and thanks. It is fun when a day seems to have it all like that. From sun to clouds yet escaping any storms. Hope your having a wonderful week.
