Roadside Attraction
In the middle of nowhere, on a dusty dirt road, a nice looking fox appeared from the forest when least expected. Although we did not leave the car the foxes appearance provided a welcome break.
On a long day of driving there is nothing better than discovering a nice roadside attraction.

California Quail
Peeking through the moss cover trees we we found a Male California Quail peeking back at us through the corner of his eyes.
At rest
A Northern Rough Winged Swallow settles down next to a Barn Swallow for a much needed rest after buzzing about trying to catch some early season insects hatching on a small pond.
Last of the day
We spotted this Belted Kingfisher catching the last rays of late February sunlight as we were near the end of an afternoon walk. We regularly see a Kingfisher along this stretch of the river but it is very mindful of our presence and usually keeps just out of photo range. This day we were able to get a step closer but just barley close enough for a photo. Clear Creek, Denver CO.
Pronghorn
While we were taking photos of bison off in the distance a pronghorn walked right behind me and started feeding before giving me the once over.
