Lingering

saturday

Fall seems to be lingering this year in the high county. The temperatures seem somewhat mild, the skies the bluest of blue and the Aspen trees holing onto their leaves just a little bit longer. Taking a cue from nature we lingered as well. Watching the Aspens release their leaves into the mild breezes and sitting in the fall grass looking up at thistles and blue september skies. Linger when you can because September has come and gone the days are getting ever shorter.

When you feel fall

When fall first comes you feel the sunlight change, the pond becomes just a bit quieter and the clouds look a specific way.

We each have developed a feeling of fall depending on where we live but when fall comes you can feel it with all you senses.

Looking at the Tetons on an early fall afternoon it felt just like fall to me.

Coyote

Peeking at each other through the long fall grass and sagebrush in Yellowstone NP. I always marvel at how an animals fur matches their environment and the subtle changes that occur from place to place within a single species. This Coyote seem to perfectly match the sage and grass in which they live.
