stunning! The clouds making all the difference.

Thanks Hanne, the clouds do make the difference and are very different from those I usually see. When I went back and looked at this photo it really sunk in to my brain that place is more than rock and grass and light but clouds and the whole ecosystem. Something that I rarely take to the time to fully understand.

What a beautiful moment to realize nothing there is no separation, only the one created by the human mind rushing to get to nowhere. Thank you, Mike for sharing the background and reflections for this photo. It adds to it even more.

Hanne, yes seeing the connectedness and at the same time the uniqueness of things is a great to experience. Now sharing that experience using symbols is what some call art.

It’s true. Everywhere I’ve lived the light is different. I may not perceive it at first, but it turns up in my paintings.

Hi Melissa, yes, the light and even the rhythm of the light and the clouds through the day and seasons all needs to be understood to feel anchored to a place. That takes time.

I love the contrast of hard and soft in so many of your landscapes. Brilliant!

Thanks Eliza, maybe the eye just looks for those contrasts and records them as notable perhaps at the subconscious level.
