The summer heat and a big yard project has me feeling a bit like this pup that left its pen in the town of Tasiilaq and followed our group on a very long demanding hike. Near the end of the hike we had to negotiate a cliff band which left this pup with a long walk back to town in the other direction. Don’t worry he had a experienced older sibling along and I am sure they easily made it back, albeit a bit more tired than in the photo. Tasiilaq, East Greenland.
Awwwwwwwe 🙂

Aw, poor puppy…but he got out to see a bit more of the world and made new friends. That’s a good thing!

Yard project…some xeric landscaping and removal of lawn and replacing with garden space.

I LIKE it! Good for you. Lawn doesn’t really belong in very many climates, and with so many beautiful native (and low maintenance options), xerophytic makes the most sense.
