Fuzzy and Free

Crocus

I love the natural quality of the wild crocus. Fuzzy and free. Spring has hit the ground running.

  2. Colorado has some of the most beautiful wildflowers. I look forward to seeing more of them through your lens! This Pasque flower (Pulsatilla patens) is so well captured – such delicate beauty. It has a fur coat for those cold nights, brisk winds & blinding sun. 🙂

    1. Hi Eliza and thanks for the botany lesson. I spent more time learning about animals than plants along the way and really like when I get a lesson. These guys do pop right up after the snow melts and make the best use of tier fur coats. Hope you are having a great evening.

  3. We have the pasque, too, and we also call it crocus here. It is the first flower to greet us each spring. Your lighting is as delicate as the flower, but somehow you have captured an inner glow in the blossom and stem. Really beautiful.

    1. Thanks Dave, hope you get to see these flowers soon. It was one of those occasions where you just notice how the light seems to be hitting one flower just in a special way. Hope your day has been well and wishing you a great week ahead.
