I wish squirrels were our only problem… it’s the black bears that are keeping us from hanging the feeders out!

That would be a problem…do the bears rid the garden like those pesky squirrels do. Seeing your just ripe tomato lying on the ground with just a nibble out of it has a way of letting the air out of the day a bit.

Luckily, there must be enough for them to eat all summer so they leave the garden alone, it’s fall and winter where they come to the yard – right now it’s the chipmunks that are making us crazy because the dog goes berserk!

We had problems with squirrels stealing tomatoes this fall too–first time. Maybe we should have put out the sunflower seeds early to see if they like them better.

Hi Barb, for us this is an all the time event but this year has been very bad. Too many squirrels as except for the cars not may predators.
