Frog in the local pond giving us a look over. He was probably relieved to see we were not one of the Herons hanging out around the shore looking for a meal.

Too funny! They are such odd little creatures but I love them! I love to hear their evening songs (if you can call them songs) down by the pond! Maybe it’s their love songs?

I also enjoy when I get a chance to listen to their evening croaking it is a comforting sound like crickets chirping. Sometimes when we are out on a hike and hear frogs making frog noises we just sit and listen for a bit as it reminds me a being a kid in a time and a place where frogs were much more abundant.

Jan, Indeed. I wonder what he is seeing?

From the silly expression on his face, I would guess that he is in love. And probably on his way to a date 🙂

Love it! We used to have so many frogs and toads visit our garden looking for the ponds that were no longer there. One unfortunate frog got caught by one of our chickens, though luckily I was able to rescue it.

Around here we seem to have god frog years and bad frog years and the good ones just make me happy with the calling of fronts in the air. Frogs and tadpoles also remind me of being a kid as we saw them almost daily then. Hope you are having a great weekend.
