This guy was found crawling about on a group prickly pear cactus where we take a daily walk. It always leaves me in amazement that so many animals have evolved to look so much like their environment.

nature has no boss 
‘Evolved to look so much like their environment.’ Insects are the KINGS of camouflage. We (people) seem to be exactly the opposite, evolved to stand out rather than blend in.

More like male birds than bugs for sure. However we seem to be driven more by social evolution in this case.
