This year the spring rains have been generous and brought an abundance of Wild Iris to the high arid grasslands of Northern Colorado. Will the wet summer continue or will things dry out. Only time will tell.
Here in northern CO, I’ve felt like all the rain has been a real blessing. We are having the greenest spring ever. I hope all this additional water means that it will be too wet for fires this summer… Love the photo.
Iris spring out here in the swamps, bright color in the middle of all the green. Nice shots of a favorite (and only flower I can ID).

Strangely beautiful to see the iris flowering among the cracked soil. Also to see how they seem to gather moisture around them.
