Pearly Everlasting: Anaphalis margaritacea

The understated beauty of Pearly Everlasting is something in and of itself. A beautiful wildflower that  attracts several species of butterflies most notable the Painted Lady. Simple yet elegant, rustic yet refined,  perhaps everything a wild wildflower should be.

  1. And….when the are cut and bundled and hung upside down, Pearly Everlasting is one of very few flowers that when dried stays absolutely white and absolutely intact (no wilting or yellowing). Dried Pearly Everlasting is gorgeous wreath-making material along with dried hydrangea (although hydrangea keeps its shape, it does yellow and fade, yet serves as a foil and allows the Pearly Everlasting to stand out as a snow white contrast to it.)
