Early November

Fall_2

Early November has been kind. A full spectrum of color remains in the woods from green to yellow to deep rich red. The cottonwood leaves have all come down allowing the bark to shine and the branches to dance in blue skies and warm temperatures of a very long indian summer. Winter plans to make an appearance in a big way this week with cold temps that will surely cause the remaining leaves to fall. Autumn appears to be falling into winter. Photographed on the Wheat Ridge Green Belt, Wheat Ridge, CO.

I like the contrasts of bark, shrubbery and the last remnants of foliage holding on for dear life. Old man winter will win eventually. Nice!

    1. Thanks, these types of images just seem to always feel like paintings when walking through the forests and I am glad the image spoke to you in that way. Hope your week is off to a great start.

    1. HI and thanks for the thoughtful feedback. Cottonwood trees are our favorite as well. The bark is so textured and the leaves in fall really unique. Sometimes when you hold them up to the sun you can see what look like gold crystals. Thanks again and have a great day.
