Mike, your photo is beautiful. I don’t recall ever seeing one before. We have not been to Crested Butte in several years; it is a lovely place. I would like to go during the wildflower festival.

Three-dimensional is a good way to put it. This is certainly a deep, multi – layered, beautiful blossom!

Hi and sorry for the delayed response as it took a bit of time upon retuning from vacation to get to the blog. They are beautiful flowers and when you see a whole plant full the 3d nature is even more apparent.
