The borage in our yard bloomed early this summer and quickly went to seed. Lo and behold those seeds have grown and we have a second bunch blooming as fall marches on, and the bees couldn’t be happier.
Hi Eliza, borage is a very cool plant with that spiky fuzz and vibrant blue flowers. A nice edible flower for your salads and cooking the leaves is fun as well.
Thanks, but the credit for this one goes to my wife Christy. She is the marco guru of the household and has quite the eye to the small things.
Hope you are doing well.
Great shot =)

The fuzzy leaves don’t appeal to me – bleah. But the flowers are very appealing! 🙂

Just like nettles you have to cook the leaves and the fuzz is gone. Yummy in ravioli.
