Just this week the Robins have returned and the pre-dawn singing outside the bedroom window has started. His tune seems a bit rough right now, but heck, it’s early and this guy is just perfecting his song. Practice makes perfect.

Horace

Don’t know why but we named this guy Horace. Love his dirty beak. Canylonlands NP, Utah.
Last of the day
We spotted this Belted Kingfisher catching the last rays of late February sunlight as we were near the end of an afternoon walk. We regularly see a Kingfisher along this stretch of the river but it is very mindful of our presence and usually keeps just out of photo range. This day we were able to get a step closer but just barley close enough for a photo. Clear Creek, Denver CO.
Pronghorn

While we were taking photos of bison off in the distance a pronghorn walked right behind me and started feeding before giving me the once over.
Ice Capades

Last weekend we watched numerous crows scooting, slipping and sliding around on the frozen lake ice looking for food. They kept cawing to each other and it sure looked like they were having a great time.
Meet Lefty

Lefty standing stoic and tall even with his right arm gone. He is one of my best friends at a nearby local park silently whispering advice each time I walk by.
